- Diverse Abilities Plus was founded in 1955 by a courageous local mum, Phyllis Edwards, whose daughter was born with cerebral palsy
- The charity seeks to raise awareness of its work to support more families and to raise much needed funds
- Every single person that supports us is helping to make a huge difference to the children and adults with disabilities, plus their families, that need our services now and into the future.
Over 80 adults are supported by Diverse Abilities each year through our supported living service and Barnabas day opportunities hub.
Over 500 children are supported by Diverse Abilities through the services provided by the Children’s Team.
Over 20 children are supported by Diverse Abilities through its special school Langside.
Over 450 clients are supported by the Diverse Abilities Advice Team.
