Gary has been a trustee of Diverse Abilities for two years and is honorary treasurer. His primary responsibilities are to provide financial oversight and ensure the charity has sufficient funds to meet its current and future obligations towards the people we support, our business partners and our employees. With over nine years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions he brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise with him. Gary also undertook a challenge of a lifetime by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2013, raising funds for the charity. Gary said: “After being taken on a tour of the charity’s services, I was overwhelmed by the work of Diverse Abilities and the passion shown throughout the organisation. I feel my experience brings value to the charity and enables me to be a useful sounding board for the trustees, CEO and executive management team. I find being a trustee very rewarding and I feel appreciated for the time I put in and most important, I feel I am making a contribution to help improve the quality of life for the people it supports.”
