Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is hosting a race night on Friday 24 October 2014 at the Hamworthy Club in Wimborne to raise funds for the vital services the charity runs supporting children and adults with disabilities in Dorset.
The event is set to be a jam-packed evening of fun for all in attendance with gates opening at 7.30pm, with races set to begin at 8pm. Guests will enjoy a flutter during the eight races from the comfort of an armchair, a large projection screen complete with surround sound plus a compere for the evening. Bets during the evening will be priced at £1 with 50 per cent of the proceeds being donated to Diverse Abilities.
Along with the horse racing there will also be a pig race, which promises to absolutely hilarious! The pig race will be in the form of an auction race, where the event compare will auction eight little pigs to the highest bidder. A proportion of money raised from this event will be for the charity with the remaining amount being awarded to the lucky winner.
The event is open to adults and children, over the age of eight if accompanied by an adult, and tickets are priced at just £3 per person.
