The local community are being given the opportunity to join the Diverse Abilities supported living team and make a difference to adults with disabilities in Dorset. Those attracted to a career in care are being encouraged to attend a recruitment event on Saturday 20 September, between 9am and 1pm, at the charity’s central office near Tower Park.
The disability charity supports 35 adults to live as independently as possible in their own home and get out and about in the local community, making a huge difference to their everyday lives. The demand for the service continues to grow and the charity is seeking individuals to join its team to deliver the vital services that are crucial to the adults supported.
There are many prospects for those that join Diverse Abilities. It is great for those that require full or part time hours and there is also the advantage of undertaking evenings and weekend work, perfect for those that need to fit around a busy life.
No experience is necessary as all staff have the opportunity to gain qualifications, such as a diploma level three in health and social care, and full training is provided in-house.
Lee Brady, from Diverse Abilities, said: “We offer several different support assistant roles to suit a wide range of people that are looking for a job in the care sector. The majority of the adults we support require 24/7 care therefore we can offer candidates variable hours during the week and on the weekend to suit them.”
At the recruitment event, attendees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the charity and find out what it is like to work for Diverse Abilities, while meeting a number of adults currently supported by the charity. Interviews will also be taking place on the day.
The event will be held at the charity’s head office at Unit C, Acorn Business Park, Ling Road, Poole BH12 4NZ. For further information or an application form please contact Lee Brady on 01202 718266 or email email@example.com
